Ridiculously complicated contraption for achieving simple objectives (Rube Goldberg machine)

(Watch out for the volume control before playing it!)
The objective was experimenting on realistic yet simple animation.
Simple on the modelling (simple objects) and motions (not organic animations)
Yet realistic-looking: for that purpose Source Material was gathered.
Source Material:
An "experimental rig" was built in my small flat at Dublin at the time.
Experiments were recorded from multiple angles on my phone.
They were then uploaded to Maya as Image Planes to be used as reference for animation.
Process:
The modelling and animation were done in MAYA(2018).
Music and Sound
The music was playe...Excuse me! Interpreted, by me on the accordion.
The song is "Sobre las Olas" by the Mexican author Juventino Rosas.
The sound effects were recorder by me and edited using Audacity.
Edition
Blender was used to mix the sounds, music and video and baking the final animation.
